Welcome to the blog

The purpose of this blog is to document and share the intellectual processes of becoming a linguistic anthropologist during my graduate study at CUNY's Graduate Center. I will write about all the conferences, intellectual debates and talks that I both give and participate in. I aim not only the share my thoughts on both classic and contemporary ideas around identity, language and anthropology, but I also hope to outline how my own thought process changes throughout time. Documenting this process may give insight into how graduate students learn, and how (or if) graduate study impact the development of a budding academic and intellectual.
